Was born in Yerevan, Armenia.
At the beginning of his creative way he attended the ceramic class of the Children's Aesthetic Center. In 1991 he joined the Metal Design Faculty of Toros Roslin Applied Arts Institute. During his studies Arman participated in a number of exhibitions and expositions. In 1994, he was awarded the first prize of "Jeweller 2004" at World Exhibition, in Moscow, Russia. In 2005 Arman designed the crown for the winner of the beauty contest of "Miss Moscow" in Russia.
After graduation he began tutoring modeling in 1996 in Toros Roslin Applied Arts Institute and later he became the Vice-Rector of the same Institute . In 1998, to better improve his skills Arman joined the Miami International University of Art & Design in the USA.
Arman Nur is the founder of Author's Studio "Nur Design" since 1999. One year later he became a member of Armenian Union of Designers and a member of International Union of Designers. In 2001, he was awarded “The Best Jewelry” at "YUVELIR 2001" International Exhibition, in Moscow, Russia. The same year, he had his personal exhibitions in Yerevan, Moscow and St. Petersburg. In 2004, he had solo exhibitions in Yerevan, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Bonn, Brussels, Paris and Moscow. In 2007, Arman created “Aratta”collection which was performed at Russian Fashion Week, in Moscow. The Collection was awarded The Highest Prize. From 2007 to 2010 the performance of “Aratta” collection has taken place at Opening Ceremonies of Fashion Weeks in Moscow, Venice and Tbilisi, where Arman Nur was presented as an honorary guest.
From 2010 to 2012, he was a member of jury of the Youth Art Award of the President of Armenia.
Arman Nur was awarded a Gold medal “ Mesrop Mashtots” of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Armenia. In 2013 he created a 2.5-meter bronze sculptural composition "Statue of a Reader” dedicated to the announcement of Yerevan as “World Book Capital”. The same year he was awarded an Honorary Medal “Movses Khorenatsi” from the President of the Republic of Armenia. Two years after, he had a joint project/ performance “Gallery 100” (dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide) together with Armenian fashion designer Lilit Margaryan, in Yerevan, Armenia. In the year 2016, he had a solo exhibition “Uhi” (dedicated to an Armenian woman) in the Yerevan History Museum.
2017 Arman Nur was awarded with the Lorenzo il Magnifico first price in Florence Bienalle with his project ' The Fly '
Arman Nur has built a distinguished career that blends artistic mastery with a profound cultural narrative. His creative journey began at the Children's Aesthetic Center, where he first explored ceramics, before enrolling in the Metal Design Faculty of the Toros Roslin Applied Arts Institute in 1991. During his studies, Nur quickly established himself as a promising talent, participating in several exhibitions and expositions. In 1994, his work earned him the first prize at the prestigious "Jeweller 2004" World Exhibition in Moscow, Russia. After graduation, Nur expanded his impact as a mentor, starting in 1996 when he began teaching modeling at Toros Roslin Applied Arts Institute, eventually rising to the position of Vice-Rector. Seeking to broaden his expertise, he continued his education at the Miami International University of Art & Design in the United States in 1998. In 1999, he founded his own studio, "Nur Design," marking the beginning of a new chapter in his career. One year later, he became a member of both the Armenian Union of Designers and the International Union of Designers.
Throughout his career, Nur’s work has earned him numerous accolades and international recognition. In 2001, he was awarded “The Best Jewelry” at the "YUVELIR 2001" International Exhibition in Moscow, Russia, and that same year, he held personal exhibitions in Yerevan, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. His exhibitions continued to gain international momentum, with solo shows in major cities such as Düsseldorf, Cologne, Bonn, Brussels, Paris, and Moscow in 2004. The following year, he unveiled the “Aratta” collection, which premiered at Russian Fashion Week in Moscow and was awarded the highest honor. From 2007 to 2010, the "Aratta" collection was showcased at major Fashion Week opening ceremonies in Moscow, Venice, and Tbilisi, where Nur was recognized as an honorary guest.
In addition to his creative endeavors, Nur has contributed to the arts community as a jury member for the Youth Art Award of the President of Armenia from 2010 to 2012. His accolades include the prestigious Gold Medal "Mesrop Mashtots" from the Ministry of Culture of Armenia and the Honorary Medal "Movses Khorenatsi" from the President of Armenia in 2013. That same year, he created the monumental 2.5-meter bronze sculpture "Statue of a Reader," dedicated to Yerevan’s designation as the "World Book Capital." In 2015, he collaborated with Armenian fashion designer Lilit Margaryan on the “Gallery 100” project, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide.
In 2016, Nur held a solo exhibition titled "Uhi," dedicated to the Armenian woman, at the Yerevan History Museum. His artistic achievements reached another pinnacle in 2017, when he was awarded the prestigious Lorenzo il Magnifico first prize at the Florence Biennale for his project "The Fly." Arman Nur’s journey is a testament to his unwavering commitment to artistic excellence, cultural preservation, and innovation, making him a key figure in the global design and art scene.
